Micromax unveils first Canvas tablet (P650) at Rs 16,500 in India
Micromax has just unveiled the first ever canvas tablet at Rs. 16,500 in India. It will be known as Canvas Tab P650. It comes with 8 inch screen size and has an aluminum body. It operates on Jelly Bean Operating System (4.2) which can be upgraded to later versions.

It is powered by 1.2GHz processor (quad core) along with 1GB RAM and 16GB internal Memory. It has a 5MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. This 3G enabled tablet facilitates WI-Fi. It can work as a cell phone as it comes with the calling facility. The best thing about this tablet is it’s extremely powerful battery. It has a staggering 4,800mAh battery.
Micromax co-founder, Rahul Sharma told the press that the idea behind launching Canvas Tab is to strengthen our base in the tablet market, which has a huge potential. Canvas series is very popular among the Micromax user’s, so naming the tablet under canvas brand will help in its branding. You can expect more Smartphones and tablet under canvas brand told by Mr. Rahul Sharma.
Micromax holds the second spot in the tablet market after Samsung with above 13% market share. Micromax is confident to overtake the Samsung in India at the end of this year and with this launch we can see what they are targeting.
The recent Smartphones in the canvas series are canvas fun a74, canvas fun a76 and canvas fun a63.
