BBM App for Android and iOS is releasing on 21st and 22nd September, respectively

The much awaited BBM app for android and iOS will be launched this weekend. On Wednesday, Blackberry confirmed that they are all set to announce BBM app for android and BBM app for iOS on this Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
BBM app for android and iOS will be a bit different from the conventional blackberry app though Blackberry has decided to maintain some exclusive features only to blackberry. The intention behind this is that people still go for blackberry in order to use the BBM app with full features. However, The Android and iOS BBM apps will have facilities like chat, group conversation.
The best thing about BBM app is that it is very simple to use, and that’s why over 60 million blackberry users use BBM for 1.5 hours a day. If you have android 4.0 or above or iOS 6 or iOS 7 then, you can download BBM app from Google Play, iTunes Stores.
After the launch, it is expected go viral as people have been waiting for this for a long time. Other messaging apps like Line, WhatsApp are already available for cross platform like iOS and android for a long time.
But this can backfire as the people having blackberry phones may opt for android. Most of the blackberry customers don’t want to switch to other platforms because of the unavailability of BBM on other platforms.
BBM for Samsung galaxy users is already available for people in Africa, and from tomorrow, you can have a BBM app without having the Blackberry phone.
